I began CrossFit in September of 2013 by doing my internship with Crossfit RTB.  When it came time to decide where I wanted to do my internship, I was determined to experience something new.  When I was going through the list of fitness related avenues I've had experience in, Crossfit was really the only one I hadn't checked off my list.  It was a great decision!  Having been an athlete my entire life, I tried to fill the void after college baseball with bodybuilding, but that didn't quite do the trick.  When I turned to Crossfit, it only took one session and I was hooked.  I loved the challenge of trying something new, and I love being able to compete against other athletes at something measurable.  I have since taken my experience with Crossfit and made it my goal to bridge the gap between science and innovation.  In other words, how can I take what is learned in a laboratory setting and apply it to the broad sport of Crossfit in order to create the best programming possible for preparing athletes for the demands of the sport.
